Space Ghost Returns With New Enemies, Old Flames, and Out-of-This-World Action in Explosive Comic Relaunch!

The new era of Space Ghost comics from Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products has been a rocketing success, earning critical acclaim, glowing fan reactions, and climbing the charts. Now, following June’s Space Ghost Annual, the cosmic crusader is back for another round of high-stakes adventure in Space Ghost #1, launching this July with returning creators David Pepose and Jonathan Lau at the helm.

“Because you demanded it… the adventures will continue in our epic second volume of Space Ghost!” said series writer David Pepose. “After the fallout from Robo Corp and the Council of Doom’s sinister schemes, Jonathan Lau and I are diving into fresh, universe-shaking storylines for Space Ghost, Jan, Jace, and Blip. This new launch is our way of saying thank you to the incredible fans, retailers, and press who have supported us from day one — working on Space Ghost has been an absolute highlight of my career, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next!”

With a new arc perfect for both longtime fans and new readers, the series kicks off with a thrilling standalone tale infused with deeper plot threads. Superfan-turned-writer Pepose (Captain Planet, Speed Racer, Cable: Love and Chrome) joins forces once again with artistic powerhouse Jonathan Lau to deliver bold, kinetic visuals. They’re backed by colorist Andrew Dalhouse and letterer Taylor Esposito, continuing a creative collaboration that’s drawn praise for capturing both the retro charm and modern punch of the iconic hero.

Issue #1 introduces a classic villain making his series debut: the Toymaker, who’s turned an entire amusement park planet into a deadly playground. With hostages in peril, Space Ghost and Blip are in for a wild ride, while Jan and Jace face a haunting figure from their past that could change everything for the Ghost Planet team.

This second volume promises action-packed one-and-done stories intertwined with evolving subplots and sweeping arcs, delivering the high-flying space drama fans crave. Coming in August, Issue #2 brings back a legendary character: Space Ghost’s old flame, the Eclipse Woman. Her energy-bending heists entangle the team in a fierce showdown with the ruthless crime lord Boss Parko.

The new series will also feature stunning covers from Francesco Mattina, Jae Lee and June Chung, Bjorn Barends, Michael Cho — and a showstopping surprise piece by the legendary Alex Ross.

Space Ghost #1 launches in comic shops and digital platforms in July 2025. Buckle up — the galaxy’s greatest hero is just getting started.
